Agencies that offer the services of workers who go into the homes of people who need help with house cleaning chores. Available schedules (and associated fees) commonly include weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or occasional service options. Services generally include vacuuming, dusting, mopping, cleaning dirty baseboards, wiping down all surfaces (e.g., faucets, sinks, mirrors, appliance exteriors), emptying trash cans, straightening rugs and, in general, leaving the home is good order. Extras such as cleaning refrigerators and ovens and changing the sheets may be available at an additional cost and can be requested for a particular visit.
