Program Description:
The American Stroke Association is a division of the American Heart Association that is solely focused on reducing disability and death from stroke through research, education, fundraising and advocacy.
The American Stroke Association offers a wide array of programs, products and services, from patient education materials to scientific statements. The Stroke Family Warmline connects stroke survivors, their families and caregivers with an American Stroke Association team member who can provide support, helpful information or just a listening ear. Many stroke support specialists responding to the calls are stroke survivors or caregivers themselves. Call the toll-free number 1-888-478-7653.
