Program Description:
Investigates consumer complaints at the state level. Provides information on deceptive business practices and recalls of hazardous products. Provides information on consumer's rights and on help that is available in areas of advertising, auto repair, door-to-door sales, home improvement, landlord/tenant, product safety, short weights, sales practices, telemarketing, telecommunications, identity theft, hazardous products, prize notices and cable television, etc. Mediates complaints between consumers and businesses.
