Program Description:
Professional oncology social workers provide free emotional and practical support for people with cancer, caregivers, loved ones and the bereaved. Services include: - Support Groups, available online, telephone or face to face groups. Call or access the website: http://www.cancercare.org/support_groups - Connect Education Workshops: listen in live telephone or online, one hour workshops - CancerCare Co-Payment Assistance Foundation helps people afford co- payments for chemotherapy and targeted treatment drugs. This critical assistance helps ensure patient access to care and compliance with prescribed treatments. Visit www.cancercare.org/copayfoundation or call 866-55-COPAY for more information. Only FDA approved medications indicated for specific cancer types and certain related costs to administer the medication may be covered.
