Program Description:
CYI Seeks to C.A.R.E. - Connect caregiving youth with each other; Advocate on their behalf for policy development; Research utilizing members from nine universities in the Caregiving Youth Research Collaborative; Education of professionals and the public. Youth can connect through Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/AACaregivingYouth/ American Association of Caregiving Youth (AACY) is a nonprofit serving children and adolescents who provide significant or substantial assistance, often on a regular basis, to relatives or household members needing help because of a physical or mental illness, disability or frailty. **If you live in the United States, regularly provide care for someone in your home or close by who has a chronic illness or disability, you are in high school (grades 9-12), and you are at least 13 years old, we can help you get the recognition you deserve for your important work at home through American Association of Caregiving Youth (AACY) Community Service Hour Credits.
