Program Description:
Creative Wellness Therapies provides music therapy for people of all ages and abilities and specializes in helping adults and children with developmental disabilities, the aging population, and those diagnosed with Dementia and Parkinson’s. Creative Wellness Therapies provides music therapy for people of all ages and abilities. Session types include: - Individual Music Therapy Sessions tailored to client’s needs and non-musical goals. - Group Music Therapy Sessions that address Cognitive Maintenance, Reminiscence, Sensory Integration, Music & Exercise, Mindfulness, or Music Appreciation. - Adapted Choir - Adapted Music Lessons Music therapy benefits include: - Improved strength and mobility - Decreased pain - Improved functional speech - Increased short and long term memory recall - Increased and maintained cognitive skills - Reduced aggressive behaviors and wandering - Increased self-esteem
