Program Description:
Provides advocacy, advice, information and referral services to people with disabilities who have been discriminated against, neglected, abused or denied a needed service or program based on a disability. Priority areas include abuse/neglect, patient rights,employment and housing discrimination, special education, barriers to accessibility, long term care, assistive technology, advocacy for SSI Managed Care and Family Care, Partnership, PACE or IRIS problems. **Disability Rights of Wisconsin's SSI Managed Care External Advocacy Project is available to help people who - Have questions about manage care and the new enrollment policy - Need help getting through to the Enrollment Specialist at 800-291-2002 - Need help requesting an exemption - Need assistance changing to a different HMO after auto-enrollment - Need assistance with continuity of care issues Please call SSI Managed Care program at 800-928-8778 or 414-773-4646.
