Program Description:
Largest Wisconsin ventilator and tracheostomy care provider with a strong history of liberating patients from ventilators. Is one of only 6 state-approved ventilator dependent skilled nursing facilities.
- Staffing ratio is much higher than other skilled nursing facilities
- Encourage mobility and participation in activities, church services, and outings via highly adapted electric wheelchairs with portable ventilators
- Supported by innovative technology (speaking valves, computer-based communication boards, advanced nurse call
system, internet access, etc.)
- Private rooms but encouraged to personalize the room with furnishings, pictures, etc.
- Weekly physician care rounds focus on individualized care
- Manage each resident’s medical condition, including tracheostomies, IVs,tube feedings, and complex wound care.
- Is connected to St. Joseph’s Hospital making routine dialysis and other medical appointments convenient.
