Program Description:
Employment Resources, Inc. (ERI) has offices located in Madison with staff members throughout Wisconsin serving local communities. Provides employment and benefits and financial counseling services to people with disabilities who are considering or pursuing employment. ERI also works with transition-aged youth and young adults to explore career options and opportunities.
Employment and Career Counseling: ERI provides support to people with disabilities who want to become employed, maintain current employment, increase earnings, or advance in the world of work. Our unique and comprehensive approach connects people to community resources while providing assistance to explore individualized employment goals in a supportive, reflective environment.
Benefits Counseling: ERI answers questions about benefits and working. Our Benefits Specialists will talk with you about your situation and answer your questions and help you explore options. We explain benefits programs so you can make informed choices about your work and money goals.
Offers the Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA) project: WIPA provides free benefits counseling to people receiving SSDI or SSI who are working or interested in working. Can meet either over the phone or video; Also acts as an ongoing resource for client with questions and supports when it comes to report wages to Social Security Administration. Does not help with finding jobs or applying for Social Security benefits.
