Program Description:
Focus on Energy helps Wisconsin residents lower their energy consumption and costs by making their homes more energy efficient. From lighting and appliances to heating and cooling equipment, Focus on Energy can help lower utility bills with Cash-Back Rewards on a range of high-efficiency products. Can also connect you with professionals who can install new, energy-efficient products, make home improvements or haul away old, inefficient appliances.
Programs offered:
** NEW
HOMES program coming September 2024, offering rebates to home owners for improvements like replacing heating and cooling equipment or increasing insulation. Open to residents of Wisconsin, regardless of income. Access website for full details and application: https://focusonenergy.com/ira-homes
- HEAR (Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate) program, Wisconsin residents with income less that 150% of the area median income; will provide rebates for such things as insulation, air sealing and ventilation, electrical wiring and improvements, energy efficient electric appliances, water heaters and heat pumps. Will need to make these purchases thru registered contractors or retailers in order to receive the rebates, as up front discounts. Access website: https://focusonenergy.com/ira-hear
- Express Energy Efficiency: Free energy saving products for their home: https://focusonenergy.com/residential/energy-saving-packs
- Lighting: Special discount pricing on LED at participating retailers
- Home Performance with Energy Star: Professional Home Energy Assessment an incentives available to off-set costs of recommended improvements
- Residential and Enhanced Rewards: Cash-Back rewards ($100-$1000) when installing qualified energy efficient heating and cooling equipment or attic insulation.
- Renewable Rewards: Cash-Back rewards when installing qualified Geothermal Heat Pumps and Solar Electric Systems
- New Homes: Work with a certified Focus on Energy builder to ensure new home is comfortable, combustion safe and energy efficient.
Focus on Energy is funded by the state’s investor-owned energy utilities, and participating municipal and electric cooperative utilities. To participate in Focus on Energy programs, residents or business owners must be customers of a participating utility.
