Program Description:
Friendly Visitor Program creates connections with each other, with information, resources, and with a network of social support. The program is open to participants 60+ who live in Kenosha County and have desire to expand their social circles.
Program goals are to:
- reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation
- help participants feel more independent and connected
- contribute to a greater sense of wellbeing
Goals are accomplished by:
- In-home Friendly Visitors: volunteers are matched with participants to provide regular in home and telephone supportive visits
- Phone Friends: Volunteers are matched with participants to provide regular phone visits.
- Senior Center Without Walls SCWOW: Telephone group activities program. The program delivers a senior center concept over the telephone.
- Virtual Connect: Virtual group activities program providing social, educational and informational programs in a virtual format. Zoom discussions on special topics. Invite your friends! To participate, call the office 262-658-3508.

- Technology Assistance: The KAFASI Connect for Seniors program, pairs Volunteers with participants to provide basic tech support. Volunteers will help participants become comfortable with smart phones, tablets or computers, call 262-658-3508.
- Tablet Loan: Limited number of IPad tablets are available to be loaned to participants for the purpose of increasing the user's feelings of being connected to their community and access to available resources. Call 262-658-3508.
-Music and Memory: Music is downloaded to MP3 player for people who have any type of Dementia or MIld Cognitive Impairments.
