Program Description:
GT Independence enables individuals with long term care needs or disabilities to easily hire and employ caregivers legally by handling all required employer and employee paperwork, time tracking, payroll, tax filings and insurance concerns as a fiscal intermediary. Services part of Medicaid Waiver programs or if you pay privately for your in home services, and hire your own personal care providers. Call for complete details. Services: - Receive, disburse, and track funds based on participants’ approved service plans. - Complete participant enrollment and worker employment forms. - Provides orientation and skills training as related to financial aspects and budget management - Completes background checks, helps complete new employee required paperwork, reviews forms and issues worker paychecks. - Prepare and distribute payroll. - Withhold, file, and deposit federal and state income taxes. - Generate reports for state program agencies, support brokers, and participants. - Arrange and process workers' compensation and health insurance. - Helps keep service spending within the budget - Streamlines and pays the bills authorized to be paid. Ensures that all required paperwork is completed on time.
