Program Description:
Provides information and referral, independent living skills training, loan closet (to try equipment before purchasing), advocacy services for people with disabilities. ADA consultation, adaptive equipment and home modifications, and financial and benefits consultation. Education and training in the skills necessary to live independently are provided, including money management, utilization of transportation services, and other community resources.
Offers the Tools for Independence program which allows consumers to test or try out various adaptive equipment before making any purchase they may decide on. Staff can help consumers research what adaptive/assistance devices may work best.
Home modification and adaptive equipment evaluations are available.
