Program Description:
The Kenosha/Racine Live Lead Safe Program grant to reduce lead hazards within homes built before 1978. Occupants of the home must be low income. Priority will go to those homes with children under the age of six or pregnant women. Owner requirements: - For all properties, the owner is responsible for 15% of the costs - No outstanding taxes - All property must be in good structural condition - Occupants must supply: Social Security cards, proof of income, any benefit letters, blood lead test results and bank statements. - Children under age 6 must have a blood lead test - Meet income guidelines, call for details.
