Program Description:
Provides disease information and education on Lewy Body dementias. Through their outreach programs provide support to caregivers, families and professionals. Offers telephone support through the LBD Link. Experienced LBD Caregiver Volunteers are available by telephone to listen during life's challenging times. Provides support through several online or "virtual communities" available 24hrs, 7days a week. Lewy Body Dementia Association offers virtual support through their closed Facebook groups - These groups offer safe spaces to those uniquely affected by LBD and their care partners to share support and information with those who truly understand. The Association currently has 3 different groups: -LBDA Care Partner Support Group - This group is specific to care partners of those living with LBD ONLY and is a place to provide support and guidance as well as share information and resources. This group is not for those living with LBD. Link - https://www.facebook.com/groups/LBDACarePartnerSupportGroup/ -LBDA Living with Lewy - This group is ONLY for those living with LBD or currently seeking a diagnosis. The goal of this group is to meet the needs of people who are newly diagnosed, who have early symptoms, or who anticipate a diagnosis. This is not for care partners.
