Program Description:
The program includes virtual lessons on skin and nail care, cosmetics, wigs and turbans, accessories and styling, helping people with cancer to find some normalcy in a life that is by no means normal.
Top Look Good Feel Better beauty professional volunteers guide a group of participants in skin care and makeup application, the use of wigs and other head coverings, or body image and styling to help manage appearance concerns.
Participants can ask questions of the instructor, interact with other participants, and enjoy the same community, camaraderie and support that in-person workshops offer, from the safety and comfort of home.
Participant Equipment Needed: (1) a computer or tablet with a camera or webcam; (2) internet connection; (3) a computer speaker/microphone or a speaker phone.
Attendees will use their own supply of skin care and makeup items, wigs and head coverings, or wardrobe items to learn the techniques demonstrated during the workshop.
After you register, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions for accessing the online workshop and listing suggested supplies to have on hand to fully participate.
You can sign up to participate in each type of virtual workshop! Four different workshop topics are currently offered in English, two in Spanish:
