Intake Process:
Call for initial screen by faculty. There is a small fee for this screening, however a current panorex x-ray is needed which will incur a charge if it is taken at the School of Dentistry. At times there is a waiting list for services. Individuals accepted as patients will be assigned to a graduate prosthodontic resident for treatment planning or be evaluated for immediate emergency treatment. Treatment plans may require several appointments

Program Description:
Care is provided by a resident who is a qualified dentist and is now being trained as a specialist. Prosthodontics is the dental specialty responsible for treating the needs of patients who no longer have their own teeth, patients who have esthetic needs, patients who have complex dental needs (such as full mouth crown and bridge, and implants), and patients who have a history of oral cancer, trauma, congenital or developmental considerations or need to have function restored in their mouth. Eligible participants are individuals who currently have no remaining teeth. Participants should need a new set because of age/wear of the dentures, loss of fit due to oral health changes, or to replace a missing set. Each visit will be approximately 3 hours long. Each potential participants must pay for an x-ray which is due at the time of screening. Call for details. SD, Health & Wellness
