Program Description:
Midwest Veterans Closet is a not-for-profit Rapid Response Resource organization taking the lead in Impacting Veterans Lives by providing life's basic needs to enlistees, families, and Veterans - clothing, household items, shoes and boots, linens, books, music and movie cd's - DVD's, and food from our Food and Nutrition Resource Center. Also housing and employment assistance as available. Drop-In Center and Career Closet where Veterans and active duty military come for basic computer training, job search assistance and sometimes placement, professional wear for job searches and interviews, a cup of coffee and snacks when available, lots of conversation and very much needed camaraderie.
Serving those who serve(d) us. Donated goods are free to active duty military, Veterans, and families. Located at 2323 Green Bay Road in North Chicago, IL - we're just a few blocks from the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center and Naval Station Great Lakes, the Navy's only Recruit Training Command Center.
