Services: - Information and referral services - Resources and information about Products and Technology - Online Technology List: https://nfb.org/programs-services/center-excellence-nonvisual-access/international-braille-and-technology-center - Braille Monitor, monthly publication that deals with all aspects of blindness - Free slate and stylus program (Braille writing device that is portable) *Call or check website for details and application. - Aids and appliances and other adaptive equipment for the blind (low cost outlet) - Literature and publications about blindness - Scholarship Program for college : https://nfb.org/programs-services/scholarships-and-awards/scholarship-program - Public education about blindness - Advocacy services and protection of civil rights - Development and evaluation of technology - Support Groups for blind persons and their families - Provides FREE WHITE CANES. This service enables those who can not read conventional print to have access to newspapers. The service is accessed through a touch-tone phone and dialing a toll-free number. The service is free to individuals who are blind/low vision. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and Wisconsin State Journal are available through this service. Many major and national newspapers such as USA Today, Wall Street Journal, New York Times. NFB-Newsline is now available on the iPhone, internet and can be emailed to your in box. The NFB-NEWSLINE team is pleased to announce the introduction of a new feature for the telephone access method that will help subscribers streamline the reading of their favorite publications. •KNFB Reader - This revolutionary app, available for iOS and Android devices, converts the content of printed documents into clear synthetic speech.
