Program Description:
The National Limb Loss Resource Center is the nation’s leading source of information about limb loss and limb differences. The Center provides comprehensive information and resources free of charge to people with limb loss and their families, friends and healthcare professionals. The resource center is packed with tools to help you navigate this new path with confidence and support. From over 40 published guides (available in both English and Spanish) to 70+ fact sheets. The most popular guide, First Step, is designed to help you start strong. These digital publications serve as valuable tools to help individuals and their loved ones feel informed, empowered, and supported every step of the way. https://amputee-coalition.org/service/find-support-services/ The support of those who have experienced the journey of limb loss can play a vital role in helping people recover and resume participation in life. The Amputee Coalition Peer Support Team and Support Group Leaders from our National Support Group Network are continuing to offer monthly virtual support group meetings via Zoom to keep our community engaged, supported, and connected. These meetings are open to individuals living with limb loss or limb difference and family members who are caring for loved ones along their journey.
