Program Description:
Office for the Blind and Visually Impaired rehabilitation teaching services help blind and visually impaired individuals achieve their own levels of independent living. Professional Rehabilitation Specialists and Associates visit an individual's home and teach techniques and technologies in a variety of areas such as daily living, household management, personal care, travel and communications. These specialized skills, taught in the home, or in a group setting, allow individuals to adapt and adjust to vision loss, and encourage independence.
