A statewide toll-free number to call if you want information on how to file an insurance complaint. Also offers general consumer information about:
- Health insurance
- Medicare and Medicare Supplemental Insurance
- Disability income
- Pregnancy and the employment laws
- Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO's)
- Life, automobile and homeowner's insurance
- Nursing home insurance
- Insurance market regulations
- Worker's Compensation rate regulation questions
- Unfair claim Worker's Compensation settlement practice questions

File a Complaint
If you have a specific complaint about your insurance, refer it first to the insurance company or agent involved. If you do
not receive satisfactory answers, contact the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (OCI).
• Reach out to OCI (1-800-236-8517, ocicomplaints@wisconsin.gov) to speak with our staff. If sending an email, please
indicate your name and phone number.
• File a complaint with OCI. You can file a complaint online at https://oci.wi.gov/Pages/Consumers/Types-of-Complaints.aspx.
