Program Description:
Health and fitness center, offering: 1) Therapeutic Recreation Programs and services, for people with disabilities as a preventative measure for maintaining health and wellness in order to avoid developing disabling conditions. Program options are provided in order to maintain the highest quality of life and highest level of functioning for the client. Programs change on a seasonal basis. Call the Therapeutic Recreation Director for more information. **Recipient of Wisconsin Adult Day Care Certification. 2) Respite Services, 1st and 3rd Saturdays 9:00am-4:00 pm, by reservation. Respite services offer caregivers of people with special needs, a planned short-term and time-limited break. Staff is trained to handle most personal care needs. Registration is done at the guest services desk, and must be done at least a week prior to requested care to guarantee availability. Respite transportation is $28 per trip. Costs vary. Call the 262-925-6747 or email for full information and guidelines: ewinch@pleasantprairiewi.gov 3) Private Swim Lesson - Safety and stroke are part of these six, half-hour lessons for youth or adults with disabilities. Swimmers learn basic water safety and contort or increase range of motion and improvement on stroke. Call the Therapeutic Recreation department for cost and further details. SD
