Program Description:
***Dependent on availability of funding*** You are encouraged to call and make an appointment. Cases are seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Appointment opportunities are limited and a privilege.
The Salvation Army of Kenosha is committed to serving individuals and families across Kenosha County by offering programs that provide support during times of crisis and help prevent the long-term challenge of homelessness. Our services are designed to offer immediate relief while also guiding recipients in creating a plan to maintain stable housing.
Basic Needs Assistance
Assistance is dependent on available funding, and eligibility requirements must be met in order to apply. Assistance is:
-Only available to residents of Kenosha County registered with our office. If outside Kenosha County, please contact your local Salvation Army.
-Distributed on a first-come, first-served basis
-Limited to funds available, available only by appointment.
-You must meet with our Case Manager before receiving assistance.
Eligibility Requirements - you MUST:
-Be a resident of Kenosha County registered with our office.
-Have a valid ID
-Have a current utility bill (& rental agreement if looking for rental assistance)
-Be less than 3 months behind
-Have a plan to continue future payments
-Have a 5-day eviction notice (if looking for rental assistance)available only by appointment.
-You must meet with our Case Manager before receiving assistance.
