Program Description:
UI REACH (Realizing Educational and Career Hopes) is a transition certificate program for students with multiple intellectual, cognitive, developmental or other learning disabilities. Students may attend for up to 4 years, during which courses, campus life, and career preparation assists them in reaching their full potential as independent, engaged and contributing members in their communities of choice. The person-centered approach ensures that each student’s experience is tailored to meet their individual needs. Nearly all (93%) of UI REACH graduates gain competitive integrated employment within months of graduation, most of whom (62%) live independently or with minimal supports.
