Program Description:
Offering a comprehensive support network, to access group services, peer support mentoring, Caregiver Health and Wellbeing Coaching, respite services and more thru 2 seperate programs: - Program of General Caregiver Support Services (PGCSS): which is the core of VA's Caregiver Support Program (CSP). The program provides peer support mentoring, skills training, coaching, telephone support, online programs and referrals to availble resources to caregivers of Veterans. The Veteran must be enrolled in Department of Veterans Affairs health caare and be receiving assistance from a caregiver in order for the caregiver to participate. - Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC): Offers enhanced clinical support and services for caregivers of eligible Veterans who have a serious injury or illness and require in-person personal care services among other requirements. - VA's National Caregiver Support Line is a toll-free number for caregivers, family members, friends, Veterans, and community partners to contact for information related to caregiving and available supports and services. Call 1-855-260-3274 to learn more about the support that is available to you and for assistance connecting with the Caregiver Support Team at your local VA Medical Center. Whether you're in need of immediate assistance or have questions about what services you may be eligible for, the Caregiver Support Line team can help you.
