Program Description:
Westosha Senior Community Center provides: - Recreational activities such as gardening, pool table, cards,holiday and other special events - On site educational classes for older adults such as smart phone and iPad/tablet training, Brain Health, Memory Screening, Healthy Living with Diabetes, Lighten Up and other programs in cooperation with ADRC as well as health presentations by professionals - Creative activities such as ceramics, crafters corner and art - Fitness programs such as HUR fitness equipment, Tai Chi, Chair Yoga, Chair Fitness, Line Dancing, Gardening for Fitness - Wellness activities such as Weight Loss Buddies, Westosha Farmer Market, safety presentations - Senior advocacy activities such as monthly sessions with ADRC Medicare Benefits Specialist - AARP tax preparation service February - April - TechConnect- learn technology skills on tablets and smartphones, technology classes from Senior Planet/OATS/AARP - Computer open usage lab daily in office anytime 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. – 61Ipads and 3 laptops available. - Senior Dining site Monday through Friday, Call 262-358-5554 by 10:00 a.m. on the day before to register. - Farmers Market fresh vegetables grown on site July - October SD, Food, PP
