Program Description:
Serves Wisconsin residents and communities by working with others to provide creative financing resources and information to stimulate and preserve affordable housing, small business, and agribusiness.
Services:
- Home Mortgage Loans for low and moderate-income individuals and families,primarily for first-time buyers.
- Veterans Affordable Loan Opportunity program, first come,first serve basis.
- Down Payment assistance, Easy Close Advantage loan, is a 10yr. low cost loan designed to help pay for down payment, closing and home buyer education expenses.
- Home Improvement Loans for permanent improvements making home more livable, energy efficient or accessible, including weatherization, new roofs, new furnaces, wheelchair ramps.
- Property Tax Deferred Loan Program with loans up to $3525.00 to seniors at least 65 years of age or a qualifying Veteran,per year. The program allows qualified individuals to convert equity in their home into cash to pay all or a portion of their property taxes. The applicant may borrow up to $3,525 and must be 65 yrs or older, and co-owners must be either 60 yrs or disabled. (Household income limits remain the same, cannot exceed $20K); New applicants are required to send $225 cashier's check to cover $75 title search, $120 Broker Price Opinion and $30 recording fee. Applications can be obtained by contacting office at 1-800-755-7835. Call for complete details.
- Refi Advantage program, to refinance a WHEDA loan with as little as 3% equity in your home.
